177 reasons why you MUST have your own info product
Posted By: presellpro on January 17, 2011 at 8:22 amConsider this: What is the number one reason people get online everyday? The answer is simple – they’re looking for information. Google alone serves up 400 million searches per day! So what does this mean to you? It means that you have a massive opportunity to give people exactly what they’re looking for – information. And if you do it right . . . to make some money along the way.
Info marketing 101
First, understand that this is the simplest kind of business there is. You take information and turn it into a digital product – like and ebook. And people pay you for the information inside it.. Pretty simple, wouldn’t you say?
How do you make it work?
You’ve got the basic concept – exchange info for money. In order to be successful you’ve got to provide information people want. So step one is to discover what kind of info people want. How do figure that out?
One easy way to figure it out is with a simple search. Visit answers.yahoo.com or similar sites and look at the questions being asked there. You’re looking for popular questions or common themes. Something that most people don’t already know. And provide the answer – in the form of an info product.
Think about this:
Don’t worry! Info product creation is easy… Think about this: An ebook is nothing more than a collection of articles. Don’t try to write a whole ebook. Just write some articles for your blog. And when you’ve got a few finished, flesh them out, add to them and combine them into a single ebook.
So, what’s so great about ebooks? Interestingly enough, we’re back to the name of this article Here are 7 reasons for you:
1. Simplicity
As soon as you have the pieces in place, it’s virtually maintenance free. There is almost no support. Which means there nothing for you to actually *do*. It really is like and automatic money machine.
You don’t have any inventory. There’s nothing to ship. It’s digital.
2. Repurposing
Once you have a few info products created. You can just combine them into a more expensive product. It’s very easy to package multiple ebooks together as one new one. Then you can sell it for a lot more. People will be willing to pay a lot more for one big ebook. Versus multiple smaller ones.
3. Private label right
When you own the product, you can sell resell rights to it. Resell rights are very hot right now, because people just don’t want to invest the time and money into making their own. Plus, you’re selling the same product . . . but for 3 times the price for the rights!
4. Leverage
Leverage means doing something once and reaping multiple rewards. Break it apart and create a multi-part email series with it. And build your list with it. A list is it’s own reward!
5. More leverage
Utilize your content in as many ways as you can – like creating a few reports from parts of the ebook. These reports can then become lead generators for your ebook. You can give them away or even charge a small amount for them. Either way, you win because you’re feeding your funnel. Taking this technique to the max, you can let your affiliate give the reports away for you. Affiliate, you say? Yes!
6. Affiliates
This is a real power strategy. Once you have your own product. You’re able to let other people market it for you. Imagine having 100′s or 1000′s of other people promoting your products. Well, you *need* your own product to get affiliates.
7. Joint Ventures
I’ve saved the best for last. Joint ventures are the biggest short cut to success known to man. And this is probably the number one reason to create your own product. No products of your own = no way to do joint ventures.
Summary
If you don’t want to sell digital products by now, then you haven’t been paying attention. You’ll be the master of your destiny. Because you’re 100% in control. So just get started:
- Head over to Yahoo! answers
- Find out what people need to know
- Write about the answers
Information product development really is that simple. Before you know it, you’ll have your own info product.
